NanoData Landscape Compilation Reports: June 2017 the European Commission publishes eight new reports on nanotechnology

In June 2017, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research & Innovation published eight NanoData Landscape Compilation reports offering a snapshot of the environment for nanotechnology in different application fields. The reports describe policies and programm es for nanotechnology in the EU and give an overview of publications, patenting, research & innovation, industry, products and markets.

The reports are the outcomes of a study for the European Commission in 2015 and 2016, undertaken by the Joint Institute for Innovation Policy, in co-operation with the University of Leiden (CWTS), Frost & Sullivan, Joanneum Research, the Nanotechnology Industries Association, Oakdene Hollins, Tecnalia and TNO.

The eight reports cover the following application fields of nanotechnology:

  • Construction
  • Energy
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Information and Communication Technologies
  • Manufacturing
  • Photonics
  • Transport
