The 2015 JIIP Summer School took place on 9th June, in Espoo, Finland, at VTT. Representatives from all four of the JIIP members, together with the JIIP Brussels team particpated in this year’s event, which built on the work started during last year’s Summer School in Bilbao. The topic this year was: Renewal of the Manufacturing Industry: Good Practices, Novel Approaches and Learning from the European Experience.
The European Commission's KETs Observatory recently published their first Annual Report.
The first annual report discusses the results of the technology generation and exploitation approach that looks at the ability of countries to generate and commercialize new knowledge. It outlines the relative position of the EU-28 countries in terms of their technology, trade, production and turnover performance.
The 2014 JIIP Symposium entitled “Major Innovations, A European Perspective” was held on 17 November 2014. The event was related to the “Major Innovations” study that JIIP is currently carrying out for DG RTD and took place at the Microsoft Executive Business Centre in Brussels, as part of the 6th European Innovation Summit organised by Knowledge4Innovation. The JIIP Symposium featured high-level speakers from academia, industry, EC and OECD and of course the JIIP members.
On 5 & 6 June 2014, around 20 representatives of the four JIIP member organisations and the JIIP Brussels team convened in Bilbao for this year’s JIIP Summer School. The seminar was organised and hosted by JIIP member TECNALIA and focused on the topic: “Advanced Manufacturing: Towards a New Industrial Revolution”. The two-day event consisted of an internal workshop on the first day and a public symposium on the second day.
